Order of the Day

Biblesta fills downtown Humboldt from morning to evening. Bring a lawn chair and plan to stay.

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The Biblesta Parade

Floats, walking entries, equestrian units and marching bands, in order from Genesis to Revelation.

What to expect

From Genesis to Revelation

The Biblesta Parade is made up of floats depicting events from the Bible, walking entries, equestrian units, and marching bands playing Christian music. Everyone is dressed in biblical costume, and the entries are arranged in chronological order, from Genesis to Revelation.

  1. Jonah

    A giant whale float rolls down the parade route on a wave of blue fringe.

    A longtime favorite. Retired from competition, the forty-foot float is still one of the most fascinating sights of the day.

  2. Mark 1:9–11

    Costumed figures stand at the river's edge on a float titled The Baptism of Jesus.

  3. The Gospels

    A man portraying Jesus carries a heavy wooden cross along the parade route as spectators watch.

For the whole family

Before and after the parade, enjoy gospel music in the Town Square from nationally known entertainers. Bring a lawn chair!

Finding Humboldt

Humboldt is in Southeast Kansas, 10 minutes north of Chanute and south of Iola. Take exit 224 on Highway 169.

The music, food and family activities are on the Humboldt Town Square, and the parade comes right through downtown. Bring a lawn chair and find your spot along the curb.
